Island Brac, the largest island of the central Dalmatian group of islands, the third largest among the Adriatic islands; area 394.57 sq km; population 13,824. It is separated from the mainland by the Brac Channel, from the island of Solta by the so-called Splitska Vrata (Split Gate) and from the Island of Hvar by the Hvar Channel. The highest peak of the island, Vidova Gora (Vitus’ Mount) (778 m), is also the highest peak of all Croatian islands.
Usual start is between 8 and 9 A.M. A pleasant cruise with speed boat will bring us to Milna, small but really nice fisherman’s place. Milna is located on the western part of the island Brac, 18 kilometers from Supetar. It is famous by its marvelous bay, in which the ships of the emperor Diokletian have found a secure harbour in the time of the building of his palace in Split. Today there is a marina with several berths, modern equipped for a secure stay and the service of yachtsmen from the whole world. Island Brac – Milna harbor stories about the beauty of the harbor Bobovisca, the villages Lozisca, Bobovisca and Podhume and the surrounding bays have passed the Croatian borders a long time ago. The crystal clear sea, domestic healthy food, ideal condition for diving, sailing, fishing. We will stop for early coffee brake and short walking tour around village.
After Milna we will sail towards Bol and during our way we will stop and visit ex-army tunnels for submarines and boats.
Bol is situated on the southern part of the island Brac, and is the oldest town on the coast of Brac. This little town was founded long ago and became an extraordinary tourist oasis because of the wide gravel and sandy beaches which expands over 10 km and the sources of drinking water. It is not possible to avoid the Golden cape, certainly the most beautiful beach on the Adriatic sea, whose cape is turning one moment to one side and the other moment to the other side playing a strange game with the wind and the waves. When we arrive to Bol You will have free time for swimming and sunbathing on Golden cape, a beach extending into the sea with a dense pine forest behind it and a rich sports and entertainment offer. Also You could enjoy a walk to the Dominican monastery with a rich library and archive and the cellars of the oldest winery in Dalmatia and taste local wines.
After we leave Bol we usually cruise from one bay to another visiting nice pebble beaches and stopping for a quick swimming, snorkeling and making unforgettable pictures so You will never forget this trip.
